Our standard wedding package includes two days at our charming farm. You won't feel rushed. Relax while setting up for your dream wedding. Here you can enjoy time with your friends and family, connect with nature and explore the historic farm’s pastures, forests, trails, streams, ponds and flower gardens. A farm wedding venue isn't complete without critters. We have the two friendliest donkeys you’ll ever meet, a gentle Clydesdale, and a small herd of mini-Highland cows.
The large, luxurious Carriage House is the hub for weddings. Couples have two-day access to the farm. Arrive the day before the wedding, get settled and spend time with your loved ones. Then have your rehearsal and dinner. The large wrap around deck, with it's huge slab table, can seat your entire wedding party. Then spend the night and wake up refreshed, ready for your special day.
For couples wanting an indoor reception or ceremony this beautiful hall, with white washed walls and twinkle lighting is the perfect setting. Behind a hidden wall there is a large closet of decorations, lanterns, forever flowers, candles and table runners that you are welcome to use for no extra fee. The catering prep area is also conveniently located in the hall.
Behind the Reception Hall is a huge deck that overhangs the pond. This is where most couples have their reception. You can dine and then dance late into the night under a canopy of twinkle lights.
The donkeys love to greet wedding guests and wedding guests love to pet and take selfies with our sweet donkeys, Candy & Candy. (They were named by a three-year-old.)
The pond, with its geese and ducks gliding across the water, make a beautiful backdrop for a wedding. It is stocked with trout and guests are welcome to fish.
This is where we raise the ducks and geese. When they grow up, they spend their days paddling around on the pond and sleeping under the big tree.
A converted Airstream makes the coolest spot for the wedding party to hang out before the wedding. The deck overlooks the pond and has one of the best views on the estate..
Walking into the ground floor of the root cellar is like walking back in time. See how the original farmer and his family lived off the land and stored their food. Upstairs, trace the history of the land from the Cherokee Indians, who owned the whole mountain until 1820, to the farmers and bootleggers, to the present day owners who acquired the farm in 1988.
The Gallery is filled with folk art of animals you might find on the property. Some of the art was created by the owners. Other art they collected on their travels. Each piece of work is accompanied with Cherokee folklore about the animal, interesting facts or info on the artist who created the work.
This is where the original farm family, who lived here from 1910-1980, cured their meat to be eaten in the winder.
The owners built the play house for their daughter, Olya, when she was six. Young guests are invited to play here. When Olya turned 25, they built the Carriage House for her wedding.
There is plenty of parking for you and your guests.
Blackberry House is a five minute walk through the forest or a two minute drive on a paved road. The three-story house sleeps up to 14 and is the perfect place for the groom and the groomsmen to get ready on wedding day.
This is home to the animals and where they are fed.
This is the original house that the first farmer built in about 1910. Eleven children were born and raised in this three bedroom house. Ron and Pippa Seichrist, the owners of the property, now live here.
Ron and Pippa built the cottage for Pippa's parents and other family members who come to visit.
Ron and Pippa designed and created most of the furniture found in the different houses. They offer walking-stick-making lessons to guests.
Pippa is a potter and makes Dog Face Pottery. Her work is exhibited in the top two folk are galleries in the state. She offers pottery lessons so guests can try their hand at "throwing" a pot on a wheel.
